This game is a light introduction to contextualise these objects in a symbolic environment, to help give a different perspective on how we perceive these objects. Participants are asked to take part in a storytelling game—similar to the surrealist exercise “exquisite corpse”—each time an object is uncovered from the sand, the storyteller must add said object into the storyline. Using both archetypal symbols and humorous contemporary everyday objects, the game sits in a place of liminality.<img width="3259" height="2442" width_o="3259" height_o="2442" Exploring the submitted works and contemplating our core concept, a new life form began to grow. This self-existing entity was designed to converse with the content, bringing a new dialogue to light and creating a dualism in and of itself. These visual tools echoed the harshness and softness, the smooth and the jagged, the rigid and the flexible, the bitter and the mild. We felt inspired by his films and images and we decided to take a conceptual approach just like Jolley himself, and subject our printed publication to the physical and emotional traumas carried out in each of his works. This involved burning, screaming, drowning, ignoring, humiliating, eating, etc the publication. &nbsp; &nbsp; The result is “Still”, a japanese stab stitched booklet with a balsa wood cover with the title clumsily burned into it. Each spread was subjected to a number of different actions, which can be seen below. We then designed a specification booklet to accompany the publication in the NIVAL archives, to explain our decisions and reasons for defacing the publication. This kind of guerilla advertising proved to be very successful and intrinsic to the launch of the first event.&nbsp; &nbsp; The printed poster used the same colour palette as the original identity. The approach was playful and experimental using a loose grid. The background image was created in Cinema 4D. The concept was to bring the feeling that a variety of ingredients (people of different areas of expertise) coming together into a large soup. The posters were printed and pasted throughout the city as the launch event came closer. This resulted in a very large attendence at the event. A video was made to accompany the Facebook event page, and to promote the event and the artists displaying and performing.
